Today's member guest has been working in science communication since
2005. Her first full-time role was a website writer and editor at CSIRO,
preparing content to showcase a diverse range of research, including
manufacturing, minerals processing, space science, entomology and plant
science. Following this, she took on the role of Communication Officer
for the Australian Climate Change Science Program, a joint appointment
between CSIRO, the Bureau of Meteorology and the (then)
Australian Greenhouse Office of the Commonwealth Government. Karen left
the big smoke, and CSIRO, and set up her own business, Bloom
Communication (www.bloomcommunication.com.au),
in central west New South Wales. Ten years later, the bulk of Karen’s
work is still communicating about climate change science in Australia
and the Pacific. Join us online today to meet Karen!
