Dear ASC-List,
Welcome to this Partners in #scicomm event where we meet collaborators accomplishing more together and ask them how they do it.
Simon Torok and Paul Holper are founders of Scientell Pty Ltd (http://www.scientell.com.au/), a science communication and marketing business specialising in planning and implementing communication strategies for scientific, environmental and technical agencies.
Simon has worked in communication for more than 20 years. This included Communication Manager for CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere, climate change communicator at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research in England, and editor of CSIRO’s children’s science magazine, The Helix.
Paul has worked in the environmental research field for over 25 years, in senior communication and research management roles. Past roles at CSIRO include managing the Australian Climate Change Science Program, State Relationship Manager for Victoria, and Communication Manager for Atmospheric Research.
Together, Simon and Paul have written 19 popular books on science and climate change, published by ABC Books, CSIRO Publishing, Oxford University Press, and Pan Macmillan, several of which have been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean and Hungarian.
