Communications OfficerAn opportunity exists for an experienced online communicator to join the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research's communications team.
The Communications Officer will develop and upload content for the
institute’s website, intranet and social media channels, as well as
develop and implement internal communications campaigns. Working closely
with the Web Communications Manager, the appointee will liaise with
institute staff and students to enhance engagement opportunities, raise
awareness of the institute and support fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will have qualifications in communications,
journalism or public relations, with 2–3 years experience in a
communications role, as well as demonstrated high-level interpersonal,
written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of contemporary media,
including website content management systems and social media are
desirable.
This position is available for two years in the first instance. Up to
17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are
available.
