Science Communicator
The School of Mathematics and Physics is part of the Faculty of Science. Through its disciplines, the School aims to provide a stimulating and rewarding environment in which staff can teach creatively and students can learn successfully.

The role The successful appointee will be instrumental in promoting interest in science (focussing on mathematics and physics) to high school students as well as generating interest in science to the wider community. The appointee will work closely with the School’s Marketing and Communications Officer. The position requires some work outside of normal hours plus travel throughout Queensland.

The person Applicants should possess a degree in a science related discipline (preferably mathematics, physics and/or science communication) or equivalent experience in teaching science or promoting the study of science.

Remuneration The remuneration package will be in the range $57,155 – $61,590 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 17% (total package will be in the range $66,871 - $72,059 p.a.). This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for three years at HEW level 6.
