Three new staffing positions in the SPICE program (two Writers and one Curriculum Consultant) will be advertised on the 16th January on SPICE is an enrichment program for secondary science teachers and is facilitated by The University of Western Australia in partnership with the WA Department of Education and Training.  

Curriculum Consultant (Biological Science) 
The appointee will provide science curriculum consultancy in each of the core areas of the SPICE programme: resource development, professional development and teacher-scientist interaction. This involves providing curriculum expertise and project management to development team members, and guiding writers to incorporate the latest scientific research and pedagogical approaches in SPICE programmes, including the effective use of learning technologies.
Curriculum Writer
This position involves the design, development and drafting of concept designs and specification documents for the development of resources for the SPICE program.  The resources include creative and stimulating technology-enhanced teaching and learning resources, including multimedia, websites, online materials, video, audio, print, podcasts, etc, for use in secondary school science education.
