There are two spaces remaining for exhibitors in the Victorian Institute for Chemical Sciences careers night for tertiary and secondary chemistry students, which will be held at RMIT Storey Hall in Swanston St, Melbourne from 4-7pm on Monday 15 September 2008.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to promote career opportunities at your organisation to chemistry students who will attend the night from Melbourne, Monash and RMIT Universities and secondary students throughout Melbourne. The event will run with company displays in the foyer of the National Trust-listed building and the opportunity for companies to present an information session in the upstairs seminar rooms.

VICS is a collaboration between chemists at Melbourne, Monash and RMIT Universities. One of the foremost aims of VICS is to advance the chemical sciences in Victoria. This careers night is one of many initiatives that the VICS Outreach Program runs to strengthen students' interest in chemistry and to better inform them of the diverse career opportunities that are available to chemistry graduates.

We will invite undergraduate and postgraduate students from our institutions to participate on the night, as well as students from the many secondary schools that have participated in VICS outreach activities. We have especially chosen this date to coincide with the final week of university and school before the mid-semester break, and it is three weeks before preferences are due for university students.

Spaces in the display area are available from $154, and timeslots for presentations are also still available.

More information is available on the booking form available in Word ( and Acrobat (, and you can contact me on (03) 8344 6465 or with any additional questions. BOOKING FORMS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER.
